Climate Change
Climate change affects many aspects of our lives and the Asia-Pacific region is especially vulnerable. CITYNET is working to support adaptation and mitigation efforts.
The Asia-Pacific region is especially vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, therefore both adaption and mitigation methods must be pursued. Climate change encompasses and touches so many aspects of our lives that it must be mainstreamed into all our programmes and activities. CITYNET’s Environment Cluster (including the sub-clusters of Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) and Solid Waste Management (SWM) have been consolidated to fall under the Climate Change Cluster. The goal of the Cluster is to promote best practices and raise awareness in adaptation measures throughout Asia-Pacific.
