SWM Cluster - Achievement in Matuail Landfill Improvement Project
A semi-aerobic landfill system has been adopted to reduce the pollutingload on the environment and speed up the stabilization of the disposed waste. A perforated pipe network for leachatecollection and gas venting arrangement are installed for proper collection of the leachateand provision of air supply system. Periodical monitoring of the environmental parameters of the ground and surface water, leachatequality and landfill gas is introduced as part of the operational measure of the sanitary landfill.
