Stand Against Poverty Campaign Oct.16 - 18th, 2009

CITYNET will once again be cooperating with the United Nations Millennium Campaign (UNMC) to mobilise members of our Network for this year’s campaign which is scheduled to take place during October 16-18, 2009. We are very encouraged that some members have taken great initiative and are planning numerous events for this year’s campaign. We encourage all member cities and organisations to take part in the campaign and to raise awareness of the urgency of eradicating poverty and achieving the Millennium Development Goals before 2015. Any action, large or small, is important.

CITYNET Secretariat along with the International Organizations Center in Yokohama will join together in solidarity to show support for ending poverty.

The event will take place on the 5F of the International Organizations Center in Pacifico-Yokohama at the YOKE (Yokohama Association for International Communications and Exchanges) offices. and Participants will include YOKE, CITYNET, ITTO and others.
