Seoul launches World e-Governments Organization before G20 Seoul Summit 2010 (September 6-8, 2010)

The Inaugural General Assembly of the World e-Governments Organization 2010

Following the initiative by Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea, 57 cities worldwide have discussed the launch of an international cooperative body to strengthen city-to-city cooperation and exchanges on e-governments. The fruit of this vision is the World e-Governments Organization of cities and local governments (WeGO).

The WeGO will be officially launched at the Inaugural General Assembly scheduled on September 6-8, 2010 where mayors and city delegations will discuss together to approve the draft statute, choose major projects, and elect the leadership of the Organization.

The Assembly is expected to create a significant momentum for international exchanges and cooperation for e-governments as it is scheduled to take place before the G20 summit talk to be held in Seoul in November.

Registration begins on May 1st, 2010. For more information on WeGO, please visit the website: www.we-gov.org
