SDS - Capacity Building Programmes for 2011

The Society for Development Studies (SDS) organises two annual programmes fully funded by the Government of India under the Technical Co-operation Scheme (TCS) of Colombo Plan.

Programme 1: Needs Assessment Monitoring, Evaluation and Information Generation Techniques for Decentralised Governance - 13th Advanced Annual Programme
7 August - 17 September, 2011

Objectives include generating skills to assess crucial need-based and demand driven development interventions required for effective governance and developing expertise in diagnostic and utcome oriented evaluation and monitoring practices among others.

Programme 2: Municipal Finance, Expenditure Management and Performance Outcomes - 5th Advanced Annual Programme
6 November - 3 December, 2011

Objectives include developing capabilities to direct an outcome-oriented planning, expenditure planning, budgeting and management system for strengthening local governance and learning to adopt innovative financing strategies among others.

Applications:
Application forms must be obtained from your local Indian Mission, and submitted through proper channels of the applicant's country. The form can be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India as well as from the Institute.
Some training fellowships may be awarded from the Government of India.
