International Conference on Heritage and Public Transport

The city of Strasbourg will be hosting an international conference on Heritage and Public Transport on the 11th October. The conference will look at urban development in two ways: how to have an urban identity in a historic landscape and the need for urban mobility. Strasbourg is among the first cities in France to have adopted a public transport policy which challenges traffic congestion, noise pollution and the loss of public space. The conference will look at urban renewal and demonstrate how heritage and urban mobility concerns can work together in city development. Examples will look at not only Strasbourg, but other cities from around the globe.
