CITYNET's reach and influence in the Asia-Pacific has grown by leaps and bounds in the past decade. Today, with 99 members, it has become a complex network of symbiotic exchanges. To make sure the organisation stays on course, and continually fulfils the madate handed to it by its members, CITYNET's programme activity plans also grow and evolve constantly. Part of this initiative is the Priority Cluster approach defined in detail in a separate section of this website. Periodically Medium-Term and Biennial Plans are laid down to outline programme direction. The current Medium Term Plan (2006 - 2009) is being used to set the direction of CITYNET programmes. Members and other stakeholders are polled extensively to arrive at medium-term plans to enable proper representation of interests. As a consequence, members' priorities feature prominently in every activity.
Medium Term Plan 2006-2009
The Medium-Term Plan 2002-2005 was adopted at the Fifth General Council of CITYNET, held in October 2005 in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is meant to guide CITYNET in achieving its mandate and fulfil the needs of its members.
